the next day in door county was equally beatiful and adventurous. when this is the scene you encounter on your morning run, you just know that you're in for good stuff.
our first stop of the day was at Good Eggs for al fresco breakfact burritos in ephraim. totally worth the hype.
after getting our fill, we headed off on the county's best hiking trail: the eagle trail below the bluffs of peninsula state park. it's a gorgeous trail with steep drop offs, caves, cliffs, woods, and water.
and when it was over, we rested our little feet,
and got some ice cream. that's just what we do, folks.
then we headed to sister bay, home of our honeymoon, preferred city on the peninsula, magic community with the best bowling alley and the right amount of scandinavian influence. our time in sister bay was spent talking to al johnson's rooftop goats,

having some snacks and yard games at the stabbur beer garden,
and selfies with trolls.

on the way to the car, james lost his tooth, which fell out onto the sidewalk and is lost to sister bay forever. here in the foreground we have the guy with the hole in his smile, and in the background, we have the good daddy bent down looking for a tooth that did not want to be found.
then it was back to the alpine resort for swimming,
front porch pizza eating,
bike rides,
and sunset sitting.
