one final blue sky day of door county time found us running around this graffiti boathouse/art studio in the early morning in ephraim,
and then exploring the sandy and rocky and wooded shores of newport state park, way up at the top of the peninsula. this park is a designated dark sky place, which makes we wish we had done some camping there on these clear summer nights. the mosquitoes we found in the woods made me glad we didn't do any camping there.
guess what we did after the hike? first we ate at the weirdest place for lunch in bailey's harbor, took a little walk through bailey's harbor downtown area, and then..... drove to fish creek for ice cream.
ICE CREAM EVERY DAY with these two goof balls.
after an afternoon swim, cabin rest time and a clean up, ramona read to james while david combed her hair (and my heart melted) (i love vacation for these moments right here),
and then we biked into egg harbor for an al fresco dinner.
the bike ride back to the alpine resort goes right past the egg harbor beach, so we stopped and took in a gorgeous last sunset.
