backyard superhero

james is a superhero most of the time (although he was a baby crocodile for a large part of the day yesterday). he goes by "Rainbow Man" which has evolved from "Rainbow Baby Hulk" which was no doubt inspired by the existence of both a green Hulk and a bad guy red Hulk. i don't love all the hollywood characters inside his brain, but i do love watching his active imagination unfold in a million different directions. yeaterday i peeked into the backyard from the kitchen windows to see this: a fully-lost-in-his-imagination four year old leaping into an empty pool atop a trampoline from a slide while shouting about his endless rainbow man powers. he doesn't even know all the super powers he really does have already.
