it's the holiday season

and you know what that means: fun stuff to do. this weekend, my mom, ramona and i took our three-generational clan of girls to see the nutcracker by the madison ballet. david tagged along with james and my dad to see tubas in the capitol building, play at the children's museum, and have some afternoon treats at the old fashioned. everyone had a super fun holiday time. i love adding to the list of things we can do, things we can enjoy with kids and those we love, to celebrate christmas. even if it is 45 degrees, foggy, and brown/green/wet outside just 11 days before christmas.

A splendid day. I'm so happy the the tubas played for James at the same time that Ramona went to her first ballet. Perfect!
