cousin camp

while we were partying in tahoe, our kids were not (as we had feared) lonely and sad and crying and missing us terribly. they were with david's sister and her family, with a visit by david's parents. when we called, they could hardly be pulled away from whatever the activity was. sometimes they were at a zoo, sometimes they were jumping on the trampoline, sometimes they were building a fort. but every time--every single time--they were just as happy as can be.

and this guy? pajama pants, no shirt, and scooting down the street? also totally in his element.


these kids LOVE their big girl cousins. they ADORE them. it's pretty great. and those big girls? some of the best kids i know.

nana and papa! here they all are, on a beach in chicago, watching their cousins rachel and maggie participate in a triathalon. just another day in the mcfarland family....

thank you rachel and maggie! we all love you (but really and especially ramona and james). thank you becky and matt! thank you nana and papa! you all made 2 little kids very happy.
