tahoe beauty

you know that wonderful wedding? it was in lake tahoe, in the high sierra. kate and jesse met when they were living and working in north lake tahoe, so they went back to be married there. we have spent some winter weekends there, happily skiing those long bright ski runs covered in deep dry clean powder snow, but we have spent only one summer weekend there. we were reminded last weekend that tahoe is as wonderful and beautiful in the summertime as it is in the winter.

we wandered around like the tourists we are, dipping our toes in that cold clear mountain water, scrambling around on big round smooth granite boulders, and craning our necks to look up up up at the mountains.

speaking of tahoe, wanna see an awesome movie that we made in 2007? of course you do. it's pretty sweet, with rapid-fire ken burns effect, low resolution digital photos, and early youtube video pixellation, complete with a metallica soundtrack and cannibalism humor.
