spring weirdness

i saw this guy, with balloons, a mule, and a WTF sign on his ass the other day. like, early on a saturday morning, just riding his little mule around park street between library mall and the bottom of bascom hill. i was tickled by it, so i took a picture.


then i got home and looked it up on the internets, and found out that it is just part of some stupid advertisement (of course) for some dumb phone app (of course) from the UW (well, i'm always a little proud of their sciencing....). i wish it was just a guy and ballooons out to make people smile on a saturday at 8 am. but it wasn't. of course.

in happier news, we finally have insulation in our walls. this was a cold winter, both outside and inside the house. this guy and his ladder and his hose full of blown-in insulation came to keep us warmer next winter, and while he was here, his legs were an endless source of entertainment for the kids.


so are the chickens.

particularly when they come to the front door.
