wow wow wow

every summer, a big ugly wooden water ski ramp is installed along the lakefront downtown, in lake monona, and every summer sunday night, the mad city water ski team uses the ramp in their hour-long free shows. i've never gone, i've never watched. i've never even water skiied. but tonight, we went. it was so so so much fun. james loved the motor boats, exclaiming "wow wow wow wow wow!" every time the boat went by. ramona loved the girls in a big line doing "ballet moves" on their skis. i loved the 90s rap music pumped over the loudspeakers, the summer breeze after a fun hot summer day, the laughter and dancing of my own kids, and i even loved the water skiing a little bit.  i bet that big ugly wooden water ski ramp bobbing off the shore in lake monona isn't going to look so bad to me anymore.
