end of the year

these two little kids worked so hard this year.

they navigated social situations, academic challenges, and new big changes. ramona soared in her advanced learner group and in her classroom.  james legitimately learned to read, from nearly no reading to a totally solid reader. ramona fell in love with things like spanish and research and reading comprehension projects and unicycling. james fell in love with teachers, friends, hugs, piano (!!), and birthday parties, gym class, and science facts. seriously, just ask that kid about the lifecycle of a meal worm.

but all things end, and so it is with the 2017-2018 school year, which also ends ramona’s time at lapham elementary. it’s a small K-2 school, so she moves to marquette elementary a few blocks away for third grade next year. both kids ended their year with a ceremony--James had the always-adorable kindergarten graduation, and ramona had the more sobering 2nd grade graduation from lapham. both were essentially choir concerts of adorableness.

good bye lapham school.

(also, can we just pause here and appreciate this picture of her on her first day of kindergarten....)

good bye mrs lindloff and ms suzanne. oh, how she loved these teachers.

and our big girl's very last ride away from school on the last day...

and then this guy said good bye to kindergarten, but has a few more years here...

goodbye mrs riddle!

check out this diploma receiving action from our favorite prinicpal, tammy tk, who we also have to say goobye to this year.

kindergarten songs....

and end of school year cheers!
