we had some out of town buddies from maryland sleep over while their parents went to a friday night wedding,
and then next day these two had a top-notch visit to home depot with their daddy
while i ran in a little trail race with my dear friend eleanore.
oh, it was muddy and sloppy. i did a number on my runners.
later we caught up with some super wonderful graduate school friends of david's. these scientists are all grown up, but seeing them is just like old times.
(also, while this picture was being taken, apparently a tornado was going down east washington avenue just a mile away...)
sunday brought the inexplicable joy of puppies to church,
and the inexplicable joy of running so fast on the sidewalk.
then we picked apples at our favorite orchard,
then we ate brats and had some cider
and snuggled on top of pumpkins.
we moved on to another farm/amusement park/there are no words to describe this place/idk....
anyway, we rolled around in the black tubes (check james there in the middle),
david rode the big hillside slide,
and we all hit up the corn maze.
