pink

last week, james brought some schoolwork home. he drew a picture of himself at a beach with a bucket, and had been asked to write the name of the color of the bucket. he drew a pink bucket. and then he labeled it "PEC." PEC = pink. say, and you'll hear it.

i realize this isn't that big of a deal for anyone else in the usual course of things, but me? it made be tremble with joy. he's never been interested in writing, sounding out, knowing spellings, or caring about reading. BUT YET these superhero teachers are at it again! it's just happening, like magic, within those school walls. total magic.
