18 summers is all we get with each kid. with the two year age difference between james and ramona, we have a total of 20 summers with our kids at home. 20. that's not that many. these moments and days of parenting can be so hard, so long....but in the span of life, the gift of having children in our home is a short and fleeting gift. and 20 years goes so fast. i graduated from high school 20 years ago, and i swear it feels like it was about 7 years ago.
we have already spent 7 of our 20 summers with kids. 13 left. it's a good reminder to make them good, to make our moments count, and to find quality time with one another whenever we can.
