halloween was fast and furious this year, full of big feelings, a rough day at school for james (lost his backpack, got attacked and bit by a classmate, had 2 separate code red drills that shook him to his core....sigh.....), and a night of joy (at first) and terror (just for james, later, which is also always to be expected: our neighbor was running around with a chainsaw, and he is afraid of masks, costumes and neighbors running around with chainsaws).
but no one is afraid of this most adorable little frankenstein's monster...

james was dressed as black panther, and no lie: this is the best picture i have of that costume. he was a blur.
we were wayne and garth. obviously. (none of the kids at the neighborhood party had any idea who we were. obviously.)
and favorite annual photo: all the neighbor kids...
then all the neighbor parents...
then all the kids with their parents' phone, taking pictures of the parents.
oh wait! looks like ramona got a picture of james standing still, while he was taking a picture of the parents.
