giving thanks

james brought this home from school, and here's what he said.

he said that he was thankful for mom and dad, because we are so kind, and this is a picture of us "filling his bucket" (see those hearts in our hands, and the motion lines suggesting that they are moving toward the bucket full of hearts?) with kindness. our eyes are blue because we are crying so many happy tears. 

it's so crazy, and so sweet. it's crazy sweet. i love it and almost did get some happy tears in my eyes. 

i'm also glad he didn't draw a picture of me shouting at him to get his shoes on before he misses the bus.
