still dry

so much could still change, so much rain could still fall on saturated ground, and so much suffering is happening related to floods and storms all around wisconsin, but we are still dry at our house.

the kids have been using the sandbags as the wall of a fort, a bench, a bike jump, and a skateboard ramp. it's the kind of use i'd prefer for sandbags. stopping a raging rising floodwater? i'm happy to not use them for that.

also, more of the staple family made it in the paper. i guess celebrity is going to a be side-effect of living at ground zero and spending all our time at home to monitor the water situation.
