we started the day at home with songs and breakfast sandwiches, moved on to a hike along the bluffs at devils lake, put in a solid beach afternoon, and then camped at a glorious wooded site at devil's lake state park. it was fun and happy. there was not a drop of rain. the birds were singing, the fire was hot, the kids were thrilled. everyone at cherry pie right from the campfire. i like to think that's pretty much how this next year(s) of david's life will be.
he really is the sunniest guy, and brings so much joy to our little tribe all the time. happy birthday, sunshine.
