at the start of it all (right after a late night karaoke party....bad idea), we set out in a fully packed car, headed for door county. we stopped for some muffins and play time at a park in neenah,
and then headed north to the plum loco petting zoo.
we took a walk out to the cana point lighthouse, getting our toes wet on the mostly-underwater causeway,
and then had a bite to eat at the gordon lodge. which is an awesome place. our hotel was in sister bay, which is our favorite community in door county, and we played tennis and swam in pools and a had a perfectly riotous family time.
the next day, we explored some hiking trails and lighthouses at peninsula state park,

and hit up the crowd-pleasing sister bay bowl for wisconsin style supper club dinner and a sweet little 6 lane bowling alley in the bar. everyone wins.
in the morning, we had breakfast under a roof with goats and tried on some viking hats,

grabbed some cherries at a roadside stand,
and hit the road for the next stop: marquette, mi.
