we were told it was inevitable. kindergarten and the start of public school has been a magical experience of discovery. the discovery of lice in ramona's hair wasn't magical, but the rest of kindergarten has been pretty awesome.
so we learned to nit pick (holy cow, is that awful!)
and we learned that nix and rid are some toxic chemicals that don't do the job (80% of lice in wisconsin are resistant, and most certainly ramona's infestation didn't seem to bat an eye at the treatment).
we also learned about the lice lady, who has a special blow drying machine that heats and dries out and kills those nasty bugs. she is also much better at nit picking. and she is also my new favorite person.
we are lice free. don't worry! come on over!
