an inconvenient kitchen

the construction is moving along nicely, with an ever-growing list of major add on projects (re-wire the basement and first floor, re-plumb the entire basement, re-plumb the upstairs toilet...), but it doesn't look much different. just more tubes and wires between 2x4 studs. and every day, there are just a few dishes to wash, which is done by hand while stooped over the basement wash tub, or the bathroom bathtub.

the other morning, i stepped out of the shower and carried out the salad spinner, peeler, and travel coffee mugs that needed a final rinse just as david walked into the bathroom.
he told me i reminded him of kramer.
i have to say, he's right on the money.

but i promise never to serve food that i prepared while i was bathing.
