prime time

today david turns 37. 37 years old sounds very adult. he thinks it sounds old. i think it sounds perfect. we both agree that it's good to be a prime number again.

and here's what i know about david as a prime number, the newest 37 year old i know: he is better every year, in every way. he is more handsome, for SURE, with every passing day. he is more comfortable and confident in all parts of his life. he is more physically fit and healthy than ever. he is more self disciplined and focused on his wellness and the wellness of our family. he still laughs as much as ever, if not more. he still tells the same horrible wonderful jokes, and they are maybe funnier with repetition. he is kind and generous, and i swear his heart grows in size every year. he is so very clever, and willing to commit to hard work. he is a good attorney. he is a good intellectual scientist. he is a good handyman and tech support service. he is the best dad. he is the best husband. but most of all, he is a fascinating individual, the sort of guy you want to be around to feel the joyful warmth of his smiling glow as much as possible. he has matured with grace, and i still can't believe my luck to have met him. he is truly in his prime.
