good bye, spring break

the final day of our adventure brought us to san francisco, where we met up with our dear friends chris and olivia, and their little ones wes and isadora. we hiked on a big mountain in the south part of the city, and then sat in the warm sun in their terraced backyard (which also happens to be on the side of that very same mountain). i've heard it said that good friends are the one you pick up with where you left off, despite the time and distance that has occurred between friends and their last encounter. chris and olivia are those kind of friends. easy friends, good friends. we are so blessed to know them.

and the next day, after our goodbyes, it was back to the airport, back to the travel hassle, back to real life....
