but the truth is that a holiday spent with family is a reminder to choose to be thankful for what you have, and to acknowledge it. so in that spirit, and because this is a blog where i tell you what we've been up to...
i'm thankful for an able body, good skis, and some fresh snow.
i'm thankful to spend time with my sister, and i'm thankful to be able to list my sisters as some of my very closest and dearest friends.
i'm thankful for wildly happy little nephews.
i'm thankful for a brave little girl who is willing to and capable of trying new and challenging things.
i'm even thankful for this little grumpy face.
i'm thankful for sweet cousins who really know how to relax after a big meal of turkey (or a big event of resisting eating anything. you know, whichever the case may be.)
i'm thankful for this tripod-checking, camera-warm-up, light-checking photo of bored and unsuspecting but sweet and adorable family members.
and i'm thankful for the posed family photo that is an annoying, groan-inducing, stress-provoking part of every scott family gathering. mom, you taught us well. anna, you and your family were missed terribly. know that we considered holding pictures of you in this group shot.
and i'm thankful for you, dear reader.
happy thanksgiving!
