classmates

this september, james said goodbye to the daycare he's known and loved since he was 12 weeks old. it was a little emotional. we have loved that place, trusted them without hesitation to love and care for our kids, and been part of the growth and development of the program in the last 4 years. this good bye was the real one. our youngest and last child is done with daycare.

but after goodbye to the meriter children's center, james got to finally--finally!--say hello to his new preschool teachers at the tenney nursery and parent center. that boy has been desperate to stay every morning that he tags along for ramona's drop off. he knows that he is a big boy, and is ready to be part of the big kid school. and now, he is. we love that school, and a fellow parent gives it the props due in her blog. read it.

and how about us? yes, there's some benefit for the adults here, too. the kids are classmates. they are getting along a bit better. and the drop off/pick up logistics of our lives on work days have vastly improved. and it's a community building and engaging, and we are getting to know our neighborhood families.
and david is president of the board of directors, so he's kind of a big deal.
