family sledding

our nearby sled hill was nearly empty on saturday morning. we sledded with abandon. james learned to love speeding downhill. ramona learned to love being dragged upon her sled back uphill. we all learned that 4 of us on a sled together is far too heavy to go anywhere, even downhill.

ramona and i, flying past our photographer (truly, we are speeding past david in this shot, which brings me to the following points. either 1.) technology is amaaazing when you consider the quality and shutter speed of the tiny little cameras on cell phones these day, AND/OR 2.) we were not going nearly as fast as it seemed. i'm going with the former point. technology is amazing.)

but seriously: we fly. even with a 15 month old on board.

at the end of a busy morning in the snow, james very nearly passed out cold in the sled on the way to the car. very nearly, but not....because our kids refuse to sleep anywhere but their own beds.

later on, we unpacked our new sofa, and james had fun getting all wound up in the plastic wrap. nothing could go wrong with this, right?
