more winter

meteorological spring arrived last friday, but the weather didn't cooperate. instead of hunting for blooming bulbs, we headed back to the sledding hill. after some high speed sledding (cold snow = fast ride), we ventured out on the ice and had some face time with a snow penguin. he has a coffee cup hat.


later, james proved me wrong (i always claim that our kids won't sleep anywhere but their bed...waaaah waaaah) and fell asleep in a sled as i dragged him back to the car.


the rest of the weekend featured a little cabin fever, which has been the usual state of affairs for what feels like A MILLION weekends now. we deal with it by forcing the kids to eat food they're not interested in,

and getting fancy dressed up for art projects.
