hot little patriots

the fourth of july was a wednesday, and it was 100 degrees. despite the poor mid-week timing and hot hot weather, we decorated the scooter and strolled around in the neighborhood parade.

reed pulled the toddlers, and david scooted along on his pretty little dora the explorer scooter.
 

after about 15 minutes of such holiday celebration, and several nearly-melted children, we retreated to air conditioning.


calm down, ramona. james didn't mean to touch your etch-a-sketch.


later, we dined on the founding father's favorite late night snack: pizza and ice water. ramona's little american flag accompanied her all day long.
