if you stopped by our house sunday morning, this is what you found on the front door:

that's right, we got james made right with god.
here are james and his lovig father, taking in a new testament reading, right before the big event.
james' aunt becky served as his baptism sponsor. did we remember to mention that it's the baptism sponsor who is responsible for college tuition? i think we mentioned that.
despite being rather under the weather for his special weekend, james is just delighted to part of god's family.
the flowing gown that james wore was made by his great grandmother (maternal-paternal great grandmother?) for the baptism of james' grandpa scott. all his cousins, aunts, great aunt, and great uncle from the scott side of the family have worn it. james' was lucky baptism number 13. here's a photo of three generations of the 'order of the gown.'
after the big event, we had a little luncheon back at our place. james enjoyed posing for photo's with all his relations.
with his mormor and morfar.
with nana and papa
a special baptism cake
later that afternoon ramona made good use of the spring-like weather and visiting family, by having a front-yard picnic with her cousins rachel and maggie, and a few furry friends as well.
a lovely time was had by all.

It was a beautiful Baptism and a lovely weekend. We were blessed to be surrounded by family. What could be better? No illness would have been better.
