plus, we got to spend a gloriously warm and sunny fall day in grand rapids, walking around, toddler-free, with one of our favorite people in the world (libby, david's sister). we never spend time in grand rapids, now that david's parents no longer live there, and last weekend we realized that we've been missing out on a great and revitalized downtown.

my favorite installation: chainsaw carved grizzlies catching salmon in the fountain outside the ford museum. i am a simple person, and i like animals. i'm not ashamed.
ford, contemplating ford, all inside a very distracting glass box. the box was a bummer, because we heard this was a pretty cool piece, but inside the box it was just sort of ...meh.
