introducing our little animals

you already know the franklins.

allow us to introduce the new girls:

Dorothy Zbornak, a dominique

Blanch Devereaux, a gold laced wyandotte

Rose Nyland, an easter egger (most similar to an ameraucana)

Sophia Petrillo, a white plymouth rock

we also have a ferocious bear cub. roar!

OK, I have a question about this chicken business...

Are these golden girls egg-layers only, or will you someday eat them? This is what popped into my head after I oohed and ahhed at the cute fluffiness of it all.

And your little cub continues to be more and more adorable by the second.

The Franklins aren't so bad either. :)

kristin, they are intended to be layers only. we keep saying that if they fail in the laying mission, they will become stew meat. i worry that before they have the opportunity to become stew meat, they will become beloved pets, which will preclude eating them. only time will tell!
