christmas lights

every year, madison's scenic and downtown olin park hosts a variety of enjoyable activities. you may recognize the park from this blog entry, or this one, or this one. we like this park.

each december, the holiday fantasy in lights is erected in olin park. there are several splendid and tacky light displays arranged throughout the park, and visitors drive slowly drive through the park, marveling at the holiday splendor and glow while grooving to christmas tunes dj'ed by kids at 1610 on the a.m. radio dial. it's pretty fun. that's why we do it every year. also, you receive a free candy cane when it's over, which is cool.

david drives through the park. note the rain drops on the car window. the weather was less "holiday fantasy" than we had hoped.

wisconsin's capitol-dome-topping gold lady, the wisconsin flag, and the lights of downtown madison in the background. beautiful.

light tunnel!

I have had my Holiday fantasy fulfilled in the woods of Olin park many times.
