pnw trip: point reyes national seashore

the end of the road brought us to the edge of the continent. again. we drove down the central california valley, then around the top of the san francisco bay and estuaries to pick our way across the small mountains of marin county and finally to the sandy beaches of the point reyes national seashore. there is so much more to do here than sit on the beach, and we've been to the light house (currently closed), we've patiently awaiting herds of cows on the peninsula, we've hiked and camped in the hills and trees, and i've even had some trail runs with my sister in this park. however, this visit was just a brief beach afternoon while we waited for my sister anna to wrap up her work day in the point reyes station medical clinic. as soon as 5pm arrived, we were in her parking lot and ready for some downtime with cousins.

BUT FIRST, one last stamp in the national parks book.
