remember
when our car got hit by a hit and run driver and it was all smashed and totaled? WELL. the following week, while we were still exploring the value of paying the deductible to file the claim and if it was a smart financial move blah blah blah, the car sat in the driveway and a gutter full of ice fell off our house and landed on it. here is the picture our neighbor texted to us when it happened.
doesn't look so bad, right?
on closer inspection, the gutter crashed up the hood, and the ice bomb shot out of the gutter and smashed through the back window.

perfect.
in the end, the car isn't worth the high deductible, and it took the nasty blow from the house, preventing it from falling on the car we care about or worse...on a person. so good bye, sweet old dumpy grocery getter. we donated it to npr, and they towed it away on monday afternoon. goodbye, old friend! go get money at the scrap yard! go be a super hero at an auction somewhere!
