king james

another advent brings another bethel church pageant, and this year we had another kindergartener. if you remember the 2015 pageant (who could forget?), the kindergarteners get all the good roles, like mary, joseph, sheep, star, angel, etc. james was offered joseph but he turned it down when he saw the king costumes. he didn't want a simple carpenter costume when he could wear a crown, a robe, and chain mail. ramona was her usual adorable front row singing self, and the pageant was again a treat. a lengthy treat that needs to be pared down to about 40 minutes from it's current 60+ minute run time, but it is still a treat.

at the beginning of the pageant, we spotted james in the back pews awaiting his turn, and experiencing a giggle-inducing wardrobe malfunction.

someone straightened his headdress all out, and they were off... marching down the aisle, following the star, to meet the newborn king.

tell me it doesn't look like he's wearing chainmail.

up front, it was an adorable scene, with ramona in the front left and james in the back right.

this girl is all business when it's time for silent night

candles and song to end the show.

post show glow...
