a merry christmas

merry jolly christmas! we had a special evening for the four of us, with a dinner out, and then gifts at home. 

the next day, we drove to michigan for a rare and special christmas treat to spend christmas with nana and papa. cousin lilly came and shared gifts and digged out a snow cave,

a big old prime rib dinner happened on christmas eve,

and jim and louise had a little moment to pose after the christmas eve service at the front of the same church in which they were married 53 years ago.

back at home, these two squirrels set out cookies for santa and celery for the reindeer,

and then had a literal scream-fest upon discovering santa's deliveries.

cats,


snow

 and dominoes.

 it was a perfect christmas.
