the things include birthday party celebrations for our dear friend reed-o

with a milwaukee dark start concert (reed's favorite band is the dead, and dark start is cover band that provides the next-best-thing).

when we got back from milwaukee last weekend, we stacked some wood.

i've been upping my running mileage down these gorgeous city trails every week, in anticipation of a half marathon in 2 weeks....eek!

chaperoning field trips with the kindergarteners,
having uw homecoming festivities at the union (this is a spontaneous ring around the rosie)
and a fish fry dinner with friends upstairs.
there was face painting,
and a parade.
we even caught the fireworks from tenney beach on the ride home.
we rode the homecoming wave right into the badger game the next day, where we caught my favorite parts: the marching band and the jump around. bonus: our team won.
and after the game, we even found my awesome buddy steph at union south.
we did a halloween costume trial run (werewolf success)
david and i had a date night in a garden, all lit up with lights
and when david headed up to the north county for a rainy trail run race, the kids and i went to a fundraiser where we ate pie for lunch.
then it was all pumpkin carving
and selfies under the biggest sunset rainbow ever.
