recital

ramona had her first piano recital last weekend. she practiced so much, was so ready, felt so confident. she even memorized her two pieces. as the time drew near to go to the recital, she said she felt both excited and very scared, and said she'd like to hide under a blanket, but knew she should go to the recital instead. i love her ability to use language to reflect her emotions. it's an awesome skill, and i sure hope she can hold onto that skill throughout her life.

here she is, sitting in a church pew, awaiting the start of the recital, and giving me a real hairy eyeball.
