i want there to be peace and prosperity.
i want all people to feel accepted, equal, not afraid.
i want women to be free from assault, to be empowered to make their own choices about their reproduction and their heath, to be equal members of communities.
i want our leaders to feel strongly in their hearts about goodness, empathy, and have and strong moral compass. i want clear headed leadership that is considerate and compassionate.
i want these things. so does david. so do our kids--they are big fans of fairness and kindness. lots of folks nationwide want these things too, and we all stepped out of our homes and joined in our communities on saturday to peacefully combine our voices--some in protest of the new president, some in support of unity, and everyone to request compassion and clear eyed leadership in our country. we are the people. we are not all of the people. but we're not bad people. we are involved and concerned people. and here is why we march.

it was a real treat to share the day with my dearest lady friends in wisconsin.

james always sees time with kate and steph as a treat, too. he's smart.
