and oh, did they ever have some joy.
a rhino truck!
crutches!
but our greatest christmas joy came with the arrival of our family members. as soon as the gifts were open (6:30 am), the kids started asking when their cousins, their grandparents, their aunt and uncle would be there. they had to wait a long time, but it finally happened.
david and i (well, mostly david) made a christmas feast of epic proportions, and we all dined like kings. well, most of us. there were some kids who refused the dinner. and by some, i mean 75% of them.
after dinner, there was clean up for the adults and a video for the kids.
when clean up was done, these wild animal cousins dug into more presents presents presents.
with gifts handed out and stacked up, the tearing open of paper began. it was a real chaotic rush. next year, i will force them to slow waaaaay down.
somewhere inside those gifts were matching jammies for the kids from mormor and morfar, so of course, jammies were changed into, and, well.... just look. they couldn't be cuter.
next came pie and relaxing head massage, then off to bed for the littles and evening time for the adults.
pie!
massage!
and quiet time with the scott women.
a houseful of my dear ones is the best on christmas day and every day.
merry christmas, everyone!
