fall in my city

october has made us wait patiently for the leaves to change and the weather to cool. as i write this, i am sweating in my living room in the 77 degree evening temperatures, and there are still mosquitoes buzzing around outside. the leaves ont he trees are finally orange and yellow, but they only just changed last week. come on fall! i've got sweaters and socks that need to be worn!

but while we waited for fall, we hiked in the arboretum, watched college kids have races in the lake while they paddled in giant hollowed out pumpkins, climbed trees on the lakeshore path, ran around on bascom hill, and got all crafty with pinterest ideas. david loves craft ideas. i'm not exaggerating.
