we got pretty serious about packing this week. this week featured a lot of, "mom, where is my.....?" and the answer was and continues to be "i packed it." weekends and weekdays are blurring together, and the only distinction now is somedays the adults have to work (one of us more than the other) and some days the kids hang out with a neighborhood teenager in the afternoons (and she is literally our saving grace).
of course, none of this is pictured. just close your eyes, and there we are: hot, sweating, lugging boxes and furniture all over the house, cleaning, shooing the kids away, and sending them outside outside outside always just GO OUTSIDE.
wait. i took one picture. this one was for my friends, who kept texting me pictures of their legs laid out in relaxation at the beach, or in their shaded yard, while we were talking about finding ways to carve out some alone time. so i took a picture of my legs, on the boxes. that's as close as i'm getting to relaxing alone time these days.
