spa party

last weekend, all my chums from college--who remain the dearest of friends today--gifted one another with time together at a spa and hotel in kohler, wisconsin. we are all turning 40 this year, and it seemed like the only gift we all really wanted.

we met up at the swanky american club for lunch and then had some tea in the green house on a chilly spring afternoon,

and then we cozied up in our HUGE condo.


later, we put on matching shirts and had shots in gross bars in sheboygan,


and had tacos late at night.

the next day, it was all robes and water and massages

they didn't even make us put on clothes for lunchtime. 

i took a sneaky picture of the rooftop whirlpool room, complete with kate's knee and our empty champagne glasses.

it was a very very nice weekend, and one of the better birthday gifts ever.
