when looking at some recent pictures, i had that experience.
for example, this.
this is ramona doing homework in a partial-version of her frankenstein costume.
and this! when ramona and her little buddies maddi and abbi put on matching flannel shirts at maddi and abbi's house this weekend and made a dance routine to cyndi lauper's "girls just wanna have fun." they slayed.
and this! yesterday was ramona's practice 5k race for her afterschool running club, and we went to cheer. when james went to give her and her friends a high-five, she hugged him.
and this! when david and i rode our tandem bike in suit, tie, dress, heels, all our finery, to a parks fundraiser.
oh, this is definitely the weirdest haircut i've ever given james.
and how's this for weird: the kids went to their first big-deal loud and bright pop concert, and david got pulled up on stage for the parents' dance competition? that was weird. he also had the presence of mind to stop and get a selfie with a tween star from the coverband group kidzbop. he's a pretty big deal.
