ah, summertime in michigan, along the shores of the big lake, sun time spent with family. nana and papa may not live in grand haven anymore, but that isn't going to stop us from getting the requisite amount of sand in our mouths at a state park beach! we went to holland to see family, to roll around in the sand, to jump in the waves, to float idly in lake macatawa, and to surround ourselves with those we love.
also, to eat giant pickles.
here is the flotilla part, orchestrated with meiner floaties, launched into lake macatawa at nana and papa's new condo, and tied up just far enough away from some bloated dead fish.
on the way home, we decided to have lunch in millenium park.

and cross the bridge to the super epic maggie daley park.
