and we had a visit with some cool cousins this weekend, because a cool aunt and uncle drove down to madison from minneapolis to spend the weekend in madison with us.

we went to the skate park!
we had post-skatepark waffles!
we went to the beach!
(some of use even brought mohawks, skateboards, and toy axes to the beach.....these two. i love 'em.)
we went to la fete! a few times!
we went to the farmer's market, temporarily relocated to our local soccer field because of the art fair on the capitol square. we made david carry the flower bouquets the kids bought for us (with their own money, as a surprise, for their parents, because these are THE BEST KIDS). he brought them home in my tiny backpack. it was cute.
later, when the kids were happily playing with the babysitter, the adults grabbed the bikes and had a date night.
....aaaaand we went back to la fete. of course.
