leprous lenten leprechauns

it's spring, it's march, it's lent. that means a few annual events all happen at the same time: namely,  binge-listening to andrew lloyd weber's "jesus christ superstar," and celebrating st. patrick's day.

these things are unrelated and can peacefully co-exist for most of us, but not for james.

we watched jesus christ superstar the movie last night, and the leper scene scared him. we had recently had a conversation about leprosy so he had some concept of this infection. but during the movie, i think he thought jesus was about to turn into a leprous zombie. that troubled him. he also seems to have combined the word "leprechaun" --which was often on his tongue this weekend at the st patrick's day parade-- and "leper."

david and james had a long conversation this morning to untangle these two words. i hope it worked.
