sports time

the birkie is getting dangerously close on the calendar. we are down to 10 days away for that big scary 35 mile race up in the woods. we have been spending all our free time skiing skiing skiing. we hand the kids back and forth and go ski on the weekends, and we ski whenever and however we can during the week. i've skied to work and home across the lake, and david skis over his lunch hour. we've got birkie fever big time.
here's my view for hours and hours on my days off and my weekends...

let's be honest: that is not such a bad view. it's gorgeous out there, now that it's finally snowed here!

david spends his ski time working up bigger and better beard icicles. totally amazing.



and we even winter sports with the kids, including winter biking,


sledding,



snow fort building,


and urban cross country skiing.


in fact, we are SO into winter sports right now that we even bought a real tv so we could watch the olympics. it's been wonderful! best purchase of the year so far.
