just before we left town for an epic adventure in the family station wagon, david and i snuck over the the madison brassworks, an old dirty enpty abandoned warehouse that is about to be overhauled and made anew as part of the neighborhood community center. just before the construction began, some clever folks decided to host a temporary art gallery called "forge" in the space, celebrating the work done there over the past 100 years. it was cool.

i particularly liked this neon piece, hanging in front of an old dirty broken warehouse window. it feels like a piece i should have in my kitchen, to read and draw inspiration from daily.
