we spent a hot day at the zoo recently. our zoo has a new area, full of new polar bears and grizzly bears, and a new swim tank for our adorable harbor seals. the sun and the summer heat were pretty intense, so we spent lots of time in the bear and seal observation area, which were all shaded. we had some relief from the sun, and we had a very nice spot to view the kids being adorably sweet friends, laughing together and enjoying the seals and the shade. watching these two develop a friendship is a great joy.
