summer garden

the mid-summer blooms in the backyard are the best. even after 6 years of living here, i am still amazed by the things that grow out of the ground in my backyard. even after spending hour after back-breaking-hour weeding and mulching and re-rocking the edges and maintaining this gorgeous garden that a previous owner planted, i am still tickled by the blooms and feel that the work in may and june is absolutely justified by the beauty of july and august.

 

even the bees love it. i mean, of COURSE they do.
