james asked over and over if his family birthday party could please be a wolf party, but offered no guidance. our only plans were to open presents with my parents, eat cake, and head to the pre-badger-game bash at union south so our little birthday boy could dance to the marching band music. so the cake became a wolf cake, the presents included some wolf pajamas, and we all wore wolf-eared birthday hats. it was a HIT. man, it is so easy to please that kid.
a 2 year old, on the edge of 3, smiling with his wolf cake.
the wolf pack, wolf ears on, having a wolf party.
a shoulder ride/mid-party rest
a happy girl getting a shoulder ride from one of her favorite guys.
and me, lucky to have a good little dance partner who lets me shake a jiggle her to my alumnus songs. on wisconsin!
it was a happy day, complete with grandparents, cake, bus rides, marching bands, and brat sandwiches. but nothing makes him happier than this. it's captain america. it's his favorite. (thank you, aunt julia. you have made one little boy very very very VERY very happy.)
